Occupy Oakland was a series of demonstrations/protests that started to happen in Oakland CA, on October 2011. The categories and levels of oppression were,system of Political, and Society, and Economic oppression, because the people acting against the misconduct of policies are all protest, and their purpose is the same, supposedly the protesters are like going against the laws with those protest, and in order to have those protests going on, the protesters need people to agree with them in order to make the protest strong. I also see Institutional, and Interpersonal oppression because people are acting against the polices, and polices officers are like arresting some protesters.

 

 

The murders of Oscar Grant was about, a 22- year- old African- American who got killed by a police in a Bart Station. The category and level of oppression was,political system of oppression and institutional oppression because there were police officers involved, and they used their power to make the man face the floor.This young man did not do all the polices told him to, so the polices react against this teen. The polices felt the enough powerful to take out their guns and shot him.This happened in the Bart Station of Oakland Ca, in the New’s year day of 2009.
